2010 Ward Conference Theme
April 18, 2010: 'Rescue'
"That is my religion, that is the dictation of the Holy Ghost that I possess. It is to save the people."
- President Brigham Young
"Brethren, the world is in need of your help. There are feet to steady, hands to grasp, minds to encourage, hearts to inspire, and souls to save."
-President Thomas S MonsonThis Week's Preparedness Items
Remember the Rules:
- 5 items or $5.00
- Store what you eat. Eat what you store.
Food Storage: Vegetables/Fruit
Remember to store a variety of fruits and vegetables, for best nutrition. Also, make sure it's something you like. If you don't like it, don't store it. If you're not sure, try it first.
Canned or dried fruits and vegetables are the easiest to store.
Examples:
- peas
- carrots
- corn
- potatoes
- green beans
- peaches
- fruit coctail
- raisins
72 hr. Kit: Hygiene Items
Travel size items work very well here. Remember to check for things you already have on hand.
Examples:
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- shampoo
- soap
- washcloth
- hand towel (easier to carry than a bath towel)
