  • Ward Prayer – Brother Miller's at 8:30 pm
  • FHE  - Roasting Marshmellows, Ledgemere Campground up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Meet at the church at 7:00 or the campground at 7:30, Bring roasting sticks
  • YSA Sports – Co-ed Soccer, September 22 at 8:00 pm, 4500 S & 2700 E Fields
  • Service Opportunity – Blood Drive, September 23 at 3:00 pm
  • Relief Society Broadcast – Stake Center, September 25 at 6:00 pm

72hr kits: Here is the link to the list of items you should have in your 72hr kit. Please read through the list and identify the items you already have on hand. These should be gathered and stored in your kit. The items you are missing should be obtained, as you are able. Remember that food, water, and heat should be first priority.

Home Storage: Grain

This should be a grain you know how to cook with. Use your normal diet as a guide.

 

Examples:

-           Flour

-           corn meal

-           rolled oats

-           rice

-           wheat

-           hot cereals

Ward Changes

On Sunday, August 29, President Boyer announced a few changes that will begin Sunday, September 12. Holladay 11th Ward will begin meeting in the Holladay 1st Ward building at 2065 E 4675 S HOLLADAY, UT 84117. The meeting time will stay the same beginning with Sacrament Meeting at 1:00 pm. As we are changing buildings we are also changing YSA sister wards. We will now be meeting at the same time as the Winder West 14th (YSA) Ward.

The Holladay 30th Ward will continue to meet in Naniloa Building at 1:00 pm. They will now be meeting with the Olympus 3rd  (YSA) Ward. Every so often all four (4) wards will meet for fun and fellowship. If you have any questions please speak with a member of the Bishopbric.

Food Storage: Vegetables/Fruit

Remember to store a variety of fruits and vegetables, for best nutrition. Also, make sure it's something you like. If you don't like it, don't store it. If you're not sure, try it first. Canned or dried fruits and vegetables are the easiest to store.  

 

Examples:

-           peas

-           carrots

-           corn

-           potatoes

-           green beans

-           peaches

-           pears

-           fruit cocktail

-           raisins
